Fibromyalgia

Cannamed Testimonials

I’ve been curious about exploring CBD for fibromyalgia for a few years now. The opportunity arose in April this year when I was faced with a major flare up that lasted an entire month. I doubled my meds, increased my supplements, tried IV drips, injections etc and nothing said hello.

Over 6 weeks of chronic fatigue and debilitating pain led me to take off work for a month to re-invest in my health. I started by dealing with the cause of the trauma, exercising, nutrition, sleep and regular massage.

My therapist introduced me to the CannaMed brand of CBD capsules and I have never looked back. I’m now off most of my chronic medication for fibromyalgia. I still battle with chronic fatigue occasionally and I have to check my iron and vitamin D levels frequently. Honey and kulanji in warm water before bed assists with the adrenal fatigue as well as ABC juice and exercise.

For me, just not having to worry about the effects of chronic medication on my kidneys is a huge relief. I tried other brands of CBD but only the CannaMed range agreed with me. Not to mention that it’s a registered company and offers great support.

Saved my life two years ago. I have Lupus, fibromyalgia, Hughes syndrome and antiphospholipid syndrome which includes, RA, OA, Bechet’s, IBS, and a few more.

A whole change for me since taking Cannabis. I take 2 capsules at night. Fibromyalgia and arthritis has totally gone. I have had my whole lower spine fused and suffered horrific pain and been on pain killers and antidepressants since 2000; and am no longer taking any. The only meds I take after taking 15 different meds a day are my blood pressure and reflux meds. A saving of over R2000 a month. No more anti-inflammatory either. The best decision I have ever made.

I had Fibromyalgia, Gluten Intolerance, IBS and Mixed Connective Tissue Disorder. I was on numerous pharmaceuticals, resulting in poor liver and kidney function. I was also on Levothyroxine for my underactive thyroid.

After 6 weeks on cannabinoids I came off all pain meds, pregabalins etc etc etc and my health just got better by the day. So I finally got the courage to get some bloods done yesterday (after 4 months) and got the results back from the lab today:

LIVER FUNCTION – GAMMA GT – normal range is 0 – 39 U/L

October 2016 – 129 U/L

January 2017 – 193 U/L

October 2017 – 30 U/L

KIDNEY FUNCTION – eGFR – normal range is >60 m/min

October 2016 & January 2017 53 m/min

October 2017 70 m/min

I needed to take diuretics daily as my kidneys did not work properly – I haven’t taken one in 4 months.

THYROID – I don’t have last test results, but whilst taking 75mcg of Levothyroxine daily my levels were – according to my doctor – “normal” in January.

Current thyroid levels are:

TSH 2.14 – normal range is 0.27 – 4.20

Free T4 16.8 – normal range is 12.0 – 22.0

Free T3 4.2 – normal range is 3.5 – 6.5

So, without taking levothyroixine or any form of thyroid supplementation for 4.5 months I have perfectly balanced thyroid levels.
